You've arrived at the home page of the Indiana chapter of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA). More than 5,400 biomedical communicators in the United States, Canada, and 26 other countries belong to AMWA, a professional association for biomedical communicators of all types. Here in Indiana, we have about 120 members. Some members work in pharmaceutical, health care, or academic settings; others run free-lance businesses. We meet about four times a year, and in the summer we have a conference where we offer some of AMWA's popular continuing education courses. Recent Indiana Chapter and Member Accomplishments!
March 2009: Indiana Chapter launches renovated website with new web features desgined to enhance collaboration between officers/ volunteers/ members.
June 2007: Indiana Chapter awards $1,000 student scholarship to a full-time student in the state of Indiana, Qing Zhou (Purdue University), for her winning essay "Internet Surveillance of Scientific Misconduct."
