This webinar will include brief presentations from 4 of our experienced chapter members (see brief bios below) as they describe their educational and professional pathway to their current position and recommendations for new medical communicators. After the presentations, there will be a question/answer period. The webinar will also be recorded for those who can not join.

Joseph Giaconia, MS, is a manager in Biometrics Optimization at Syneos Health. He specializes in publication/commercialization documents for publication in biomedical journals and training development for other medical writers.

Laura Town is owner and founder of Williams Town Communications and former President of the Indiana chapter of AMWA. Laura specializes in creating educational materials for health care professionals.

Lynn Wachtman, DVM, MPH, is a Veterinary Medical Officer/Epidemiologist with the US Department of Agriculture. In this position, she analyzes data pertaining to the incidence of program diseases and writes situation reports, official memoranda, and other regulatory documents. She previously worked as a veterinarian in academia and wrote research papers, grant applications, and animal care and use protocols.

Dana Blue, MSc, is a Product Development Champion with Facet Life Sciences. Dana specializes in providing submissions to the FDA and other international regulatory authorities.
